In this project, a complete and detailed refurbishment of the machine was performed, beginning with an exhaustive diagnostic assessment to evaluate the condition of all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems. Each component was carefully inspected to identify wear, deformation, misalignment, or obsolescence that could compromise the performance or safety of the press. Based on this analysis, all critical parts were replaced, including bearings, bushings, seals, hydraulic elements, and structural components that required reconditioning.

The modernization process also involved upgrading the control systems to more advanced and reliable technology. This included the installation of updated electronics, improved safety modules, and a more intuitive operator interface, ensuring greater precision, repeatability, and compliance with current industrial standards. This included adjusting the ram guidance, verifying parallelism, and fine‑tuning the cutting parameters to achieve maximum accuracy during fineblanking operations. Load tests and performance checks were carried out to validate the machine’s behavior and ensure that all systems operated within the required tolerances.

Thanks to this comprehensive overhauling process, the FEINTOOL GKP F 50/80 press regained its full production capacity, offering improved precision, enhanced safety, and long‑term reliability. The refurbishment not only extended the machine’s service life but also provided a cost‑effective and sustainable alternative to purchasing a new press, ensuring consistent performance in demanding fineblanking applications.
